Tucked away in North East Austin, Barr Mansion served as the perfect backdrop for Jessica and Vamsi’s romantic winter wedding. Known for its century-old architecture, glass ballroom, and lush gardens, the venue strikes a rare balance between historic charm and modern elegance. Even in early December, the grounds felt light and cozy, an ideal setting for a day that blended tradition, texture, and intention.

Jessica and Vamsi’s vision was clear from the start, they wanted their day to reflect the merging of their cultures. Vamsi’s South Asian heritage and Jessica’s Jewish background were woven seamlessly into the celebration, from the traditional chuppah that framed their ceremony to meaningful family rituals and blessings throughout the day.

The design leaned heavily into winter textures: emerald velvet linens, shimmering metallics, and layered candlelight brought richness and dimension to the indoor reception space. Greenery played a major role in the overall palette, an intentional nod to Jessica’s love for nature and understated elegance. The curved ceremony seating added a sense of intimacy, bringing a sense of closeness.

From start to finish, the celebration felt personal, grounded, and joyful. Laughter filled the getting-ready room as the girls enjoyed hot tea, the ceremony was heartfelt and inclusive, and the dance floor stayed packed all night.

There was a distinct warmth to the day, not just in the candlelight or velvets, but in the way guests interacted, celebrated, and honored both sides of the couple’s heritage. It felt like the best kind of winter gathering.
