Family Ranch in Goldthwaite, Texas

Danielle + JD are something else. They’re some of the kindest people I’ve met, and I truly think that shines through in their images. They got married at JD’s family ranch, a place of sentiment for both of their lives. The family jokes JD had “birthrights” to get married at the ranch.

Despite the rain, Danielle smiled big as heck the entire walk down the aisle. Guests grabbed umbrellas and made their way to the property overlook, embracing whatever the weather had in store. And in one of those moments that feels almost too perfect to make up, the clouds cleared just as the ceremony came to a close, giving them sunshine for their first kiss as husband and wife. Kismet!

When I think back on their wedding, I picture Danielle beaming as she walked toward JD, and the feeling of an elevated backyard celebration waiting on the other side. Oysters, a roasted pig, bold colors and patterns, and a ranch full of the people they love most. The rain may have rewritten the timeline, but it never changed the heart of the day. It was always about two people, madly in love, getting married in a place that already felt like home.
