Downtown Austin Engagement Session, Powder Room
There’s a version of a night out that most people only get on special occasions, dressed up, a little slower, a lot more present. That’s the energy Kaitlyn and Chris brought to Powder Room, and honestly, it fit them perfectly.
Powder Room is dark and moody in the best way. Low light, upscale, the kind of downtown Austin bar that makes you want to order something with a garnish and stay for a second drink (or three). Chris showed up in a suit, martini in hand, looking dapper as hell. Kaitlyn was in a white cocktail dress with a feather boa, champagne in hand, ready to tap into her Vogue model side.
What made the evening was them. Kaitlyn and Chris are funny, easy with each other, clearly in love in the way that shows up in the small moments. They know how to have a good time, but there’s an intentionality underneath it too. Nothing about the night felt like a performance. It felt like two people who genuinely enjoy each other, dressed up for the occasion and soaking in every bit of it.
That balance, playful and polished, fun and grounded, is what I try to capture in every session. Not a version of a couple, but the authenticity. Kaitlyn and Chris made that easy.
Cheers to you two. I can’t wait for the wedding.
